You Can Get Hitched On A Nature Reserve!

Anyone out there planning on getting married in Kent in the near future who hasn’t picked their venue as yet? Why don’t you check out the Elmley Nature Reserve on the Isle of Sheppey, perfect if you’re looking for something a little out of the ordinary.

If you’re not familiar with the nature reserve, go and have a little look and you’re sure to fall in love immediately. There’s a traditional Kentish barn nestled among 3,300 acres, with incredible views and stunning landscapes… so you know your photographer will be inspired to take the best pictures of his life.

You can book it for your entire wedding weekend, with bespoke accommodation provided for up to 114 guests. You can also use any suppliers you like and you can set the barn and courtyard up however you want, with live bands actively encouraged!

As for your sleeping quarters, there are award-winning handcrafted shepherd’s huts and the Bell Tent Village, with 20 tents available that sleep between one and four people. And there’s Kingshill Farmhouse, an original 17th century farmhouse that opened in June this year, with room for up to 12 guests.

A further ten guests can sleep the night away in Kingshill Cottage, which apparently provides a laid-back eclecticism with incredible views of the reserve.

Why don’t you and your other half head off for the day out at the reserve to see what you think of it all? Be aware that they only take a small number of weddings each year so you might want to get in there quick if you do decide it’s the venue for you.
