Top Trends To Consider For Your Wedding Decor

If you’re in the early planning stages of your wedding, you’ll have a lot to consider. Making it the perfect day for you and your friends and family will no doubt be your priority. It can sometimes help to take inspiration from some of the top wedding trends of the moment.

Between The Lines recently shared some of the top wedding trends for 2020 and one that’s going to grow in popularity is colour. Brides are choosing gowns in hues other than white or ivory, and the idea of using a colourful palette for wedding decor is gaining traction.

Stefanie Cove, an LA-based wedding planner, told the publication that “custom printed tent fabric and tablecloths will be big”, adding that using rich tones is an opportunity to “get away from all-white weddings that feel oh-so-bridal”.

You could add some sparkle to your reception by arranging LED dancefloor hire in Kent to give everyone somewhere stunning to strut their stuff.

Another big wedding decor trend to watch is that of non-traditional wedding flowers. Wildflowers are an increasingly popular choice, while succulents are also making an appearance at wedding receptions, the news provider noted.

More and more couples are also taking an environmentally conscious stance when it comes to organising their big days. That means avoiding single-use items, hiring the likes of table cloths and using potted plants rather than cut flowers for their centrepieces.

Sustainability is also coming to the fore where wedding dresses are concerned. A growing number of brides are choosing vintage or pre-owned gowns to walk down the aisle, with Lyst revealing there are some 19,000 searches for ‘vintage’ ‘second-hand’ or ‘pre-owned’ wedding dresses every month.
