Top Tips On Saving Money On Your Wedding
We all know that planning a wedding is expensive. One professional bridesmaid recently spoke to Insider about the money mistakes she’s seen dozens of couples make, and how to sidestep them. Jen Glantz explained that the most important thing to do when you get engaged is set your budget.
She said that she knows it can be easy to get caught up in the excitement of planning your big day, but that it’s better to take your time and work out what you can afford. Her top piece of advice is to settle on a figure you’re happy to spend on your wedding.
Then make a list of your must-haves. “Dip into the budget to spend on those items first. Then see what’s left of your budget and divide it up amongst the other things that you want to include but aren’t your top priorities,” she suggested.
Ms Glantz also said that it’s important to talk to all the vendors you’re working with to make sure you’re not paying for things you don’t need, or that are already taken care of elsewhere.
